
Cheryl Snapp Laws is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Addiction Counselor, a National Certified Addiction Counselor, and a Licensed Master of Social Work. She received her MSSW at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and has worked primarily treating patients with substance abuse and mental health disorders. She developed and implemented two separate programs while in Tennessee; a substance abuse program for those in lower-income housing doing in-home therapy for women of child-bearing age, and a separate program treating substance-abusing offenders within a county detention center. She served in the military as an officer providing treatment for military victims and offenders of domestic abuse. As a veteran, she decided to remain a psychotherapist working with active duty service members, their families, and retirees. She has been treating this population for the past 15 years.
